About the Role

Reporting to the CFO, you will be part of a close-knit Finance team, providing key finance and administrative support across various business functions. Your role will involve a combination of payroll, financial reporting, and HR administration, ensuring smooth operations within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding tasks, including ordering business cards, issuing keys, and setting up security access.
  • Maintain and update employee records while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Ensure induction and termination paperwork is accurately completed.
  • Track and notify department heads of key employee milestones, such as performance reviews, probation periods, and service anniversaries.
  • Process timesheets and upload data into the Sage accounting system.
  • Manage payroll for overseas engineers on a four-week cycle.
  • Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts and enter payroll data from an external provider.
  • Process and reconcile Superannuation, Workcover, and Payroll Tax payments.
  • Assist with cash flow reporting and other finance-related tasks as required.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience working in a finance team or similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A proactive approach with a high level of accountability.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with timesheet processing and payroll (highly regarded).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • A willingness to learn and develop within the finance function.
